Vashisht is a village in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, and it is famous for the Vashisht Ashram and the Vashisht Baths. This traditional temple has intricately designed wood carvings and is a major tourist attraction in Manali. It is known to have been the residence of sage Vashisht, who was the sole Guru or teacher of Rama and Laxman. The village is only a few kilometers away from Manali town and lies to the east of the Beas River.
